This unique Indo Bangla river cruise takes you from the bustling city of Kolkata to the even crazier world of Dhaka! On route spend time in the Sundarbans, a World Heritage Site, and the world’s largest delta mangrove forest and home to a diverse range of wildlife and excellent bird life. From the Bay of Bengal the river meanders through the seaport of Mongla and pass ed villages on route to Dhaka. There will be stops for sightseeing on route including visits to a potter’s colony, markets, a magnificent 60-domed mosque and an Anglican church considered to be one of the largest in Asia.
You will travel on board the Ganga Vilas. The newest member of the Antara fleet this 18-suite ship combines modern comfort with traditional style.
The tour will begin with a couple of day’s sightseeing in Kolkata. A chance to experience this vibrant and sometimes chaotic, city but one that buzzes with life and has much to offer the visitor, from colonial architecture to temples, colourful flower markets, tasty street food and interesting museums.

November Sightseeing in Kolkata with English speaking guide. This will include a visit to St John’s Church & Dalhousie Square, Park Street Cemetery, the flower market and North Kolkata.
One day a typically Bengali lunch will be served in the private apartment of Bomit Iyengar, a well known art collector in Kolkata. The second day we will have high tea at the beautiful Glenburn Penthouse, with wonderful views of the Victoria Memorial.

Wednesday Collected from the hotel and transfer to the Indentured Memorial Jetty to board the Ganga Vilas in time for lunch on board.

Sunday The cruise ends in Dhaka; disembarking after breakfast there will be a sightseeing tour in the city and surrounds including lunch.
