One of the most special parts of trip was our stay at Chambal Safari Lodge. We especially loved the food there, with lots of vegetables and a homemade touch. The morning river safari was magical and I loved our walk to the village.

The stepwell dinner at Narlai was wonderful. Although there were only four of us we were made to feel very special. Chhatra Sagar was stunning, and the family running it really know how to treat
guests. Interesting and extremely comfortable, with excellent food – one couldn’t ask for more.

As you will see we loved our trip - a thoroughly enjoyable experience so thank you.   Our driver/guide, Gayan, was excellent. Very welcoming, courteous, efficient, forward thinking and thoughtful. He went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. Most importantly he made it fun, and had a great sense of humour. He was extremely knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, particularly birdlife which he was brilliant at pointing out.

I think the main thing is that you really ‘got’ us, and you advised us very well on the places we stayed. Some were so good that we opted to stay and enjoy them rather than head off in the car. We did do some sightseeing though, but not as much as our driver/guide thought we might!  We struck lucky with him as well.

All guides were good but the best of all, the guide in Agra. Such a knowledge about everything and he treated us like his students, testing us of all the information he had already taught us!! He was just great! All drivers were professionals but our last driver on our last day in Delhi was like our best friend who provided us with information about everything we asked him. We felt safe and nice during our trip

We had a spectacular trip - thank you. Everything worked perfectly and we've talked about never needing to experience Canadian winter again and when can we go back. I’m still amazed that this two month trip went so well with the only hitch being of my own making forgetting the cards in the safe. Sri Lanka was lovely and we were sad to be leaving the warmth.
